DaXianRan Seafood Restaurant @ ShenZhen

Delay post. *sweat* I should publish this before CNY!!!

Suppose going out for CNY goods, but I'm still surfer with the period cramp. Hate aunty rosy visit, always destroy my weekend dating!! Waiting young master wake up from his nap before heading out for lunch, so...... squeeze some pleasure times to blog awhile. TeeHee. I'm so hardworking.

Let's back to the foodie post,
Still, people mountain people sea. Did some shopping while heading to the restaurant, it was like 30mins walking destine from the hotel. I'm so suffered with this but my parent seem enjoying to communicated with those local.

Hmp, what to eat?

8 dishes for 5 persons. Seems like we ordered too many dishes already.

Side dishes that we seldom get from Malaysia's restaurant, marinated in white vinegar. "藠" pronounced as KIU(2) in Cantonese, think English called Allium Chinese. Anyway, I don't like that unique strongly smell.

Deep fried mantis prawn with pepper and salt.
Same lor, nothing much different from what you can get in Malaysia's restaurant. Papa said, lots of chefs in Malaysia learn from China (i don't really believe it, lol).

Sautéed Bamboo clam.
For those clam lover, this is a good dish. *rolling in the heaven* The sauces is full of HOISEN flavor, nice dish to eat with rice. Yum yum. Unfortunately, i cannot enjoy this dish.

Steamed crab.
Fresh and tender crab meat. I tried to dip with the red vinegar, it's a bit sourly but still acceptable because I'm have half TEOWCHEW blood. *lol*

TADA!! Look at those delicious reddish crab roe! Not a good choice for high cholesterol people, but is a heaven for me. *flying in the sky*

Minced garlic steamed prawn. *drool*
Young master not really like this because he don't want his breath is full of garlic smell. He still can smell the garlic after few hours when i talked to him. *blush* He think too much already, the meat is tender and the combination with garlic is so delicious.

Steamed Turbot.
This is the first time i saw this kind of fish, look a bit ugly, skin a bit rough and the taste is like Pomfret. Em...... this fish really nothing special for me. Young master prefer steam Pomfret with light soya sauce and ginger.

Stir fried CHOISUM.
A bit different from Malaysia's restaurant, usually they place it side by side on big plate to look presentable. This restaurant just simply put all in one big bowl, but it doesn't mean not tasty. CHOISUM is really crunchy and sweet, i can eat this all!!

Braised duck wings.
Tasty, good fragrance, doesn't taste salty at all. Is it because of the secret ingredient, or soya sauce in China is more lighter than Malaysia? Mama finish the dish, either duck wing is her favorite or it really tasty, you guess. *evil laugh*

Fried fish.
Exactly the same taste that cook by mama. *lol*

Clay Hot Pot Rice (BAO ZAI FAN).
Smell good, the rice is nice and firm, all ingredient with a light soya sauce coating. The best part is the crispy burnt rice at the bottom and sides of the clay pot.

TWG Tea @ Marina Bay Sand

Young master said that i should LUM this with the last post i did. It's super short and clean one, okay for you guys right?

We didn't order any dessert during the romantic dinner because i spotted lots of lovely cafe that selling macaroon before we walk into db bistro!! Anyway, I LOVE MACAROON!!! Young masterpromised will get me the colorful macaroons from FRANCE. *blush* Ha ha ha, a funny conversation pop out after i did some shopping at TOPSHOP.

Young master: "How about next year we travel to Paris?"

Me: "Then we need to save a lots from now." *holding the TOPSHOP paper bag tightly*

Young master: "WE? or you mean just me? Ha ha ha. If we can't make it in this few years, you gonna bring along your children together."

Me: "Huh, but Paris supposed is our honeymoon trip. *few second later* Not bad huh. I can bring them to Disneyland~"

Back to the title again,

Here's the list of those macaroons. *evil laugh* Napoleon Tea & Caramel, Camelot Tea & Praline, Earl Grey Fortune & Chocolate, 1837 Black Tea & Blackcurrant, Moroccan Mint Tea, Bain de Roses Tea, Lemon Bush Tea, Grand Weeding Tea, Passion Fruit & Coconut. If you really go through the list, you will find out there are only 9 flavors. So i decided to take 1 more Roses, Chocolate & Caramel to make it into a dozen. Yippie!!
Rose is the best!!!

db bistro moderne @ Marina Bay Sand

We spot lots of restaurant that really want to give a try but too bad that we just have one days to spend with each other. Young master decided to bring me visit Marina Bay Sand since everyone asked us to take some beautiful / romantic night scene over there. Feel so comfort and hungry after half an hours bubble bath. *xinfu* We took taxi from Sentosa to Marina Bay, forgot the exactly amount that we paid, I'm guess just around $10.00++. Thumb up to taxi driver at Singapore, nice uncle and professional travel guide and give us some useful opinion.

Anyway, i love the environment and architecture over here. *jumping around*

Check in foursquare and searching for which restaurant that we gonna dine in. OMG!! So many choices!!!

Young master is a AFC's fans, AFC stand for Asian Food Channel if you don't know. Anyway, i didn't know what db stand for although he keep explain to me how great is the chef. "He's Daniel Boulud!!! Michelin chef!!!!" Young Master shouting again. Em, i don't care, i just need food at that moment. Ha ha, almost exhausted after those extreme sports.

We didn't made any booking, so, end up with waiting 15 mins for our turn. Playing with my iPhone really kill lot of boring times and young master keep snapping pics. Teehee. I have a personal cameraman. *blush*

The big boss. I noticed that more than 50% of customer is GUI LOU.

Didn't take a long time to read the menu, not much too choose. Hmp, i need spaghetti badly!! Why no CARBONARA inside??? Young Master gave me a simple explanation, "French food! Hello! Get carbonara from italian restaurant please!"

Couples around us is really enjoy the joyful moment, see, me and young master just sit there with widely eye and look at each others. Ha ha ha!! Just kidding, we pretend this is our first date again.

My all times favorite, bread and butter. Yum.

Young master love this much, crispy and sweet.

Foie Gras. *drool* Tender, juicy, oily, sinful, melt in your mouth...... er, i dont know how to write the description!! You guys will know what kind of complexion feeling after tried this!!

Sorry, i forgot what risotto is this. *sweat* But the truffle taste still refreshing inside my tongue. Yummy, still satisfied although didn't have any creamy pasta. There are few things that i always look for in the restaurant, truffle... foie gras... mushroom... cheese... cream... olive oil (but not olive).

Young master's signature db burger that have a lot great comments from web and foursquare as well. I steal a small bit from him, *smile* (still can't eat beef yet) really juicy and tender. The tiny foie gras that filled inside the burger goes well with the red meat, but i prefer my unforgettable starter. Maybe young master's been waiting for an hour, he actually finished the 1 inch thick burger. *woohoo*

Review - 2011

The first blog for 2012, teehee, nothing to surprise you guys because today is my off day. *lol* Didn't went out for shopping / movie / dating, not in the mood yet...... maybe later? Feel so comfort after clean up my messy room and working desk, ouch, too much dust to made young master sneezing. Em, I'm didn't plan to write down what i had achieved at 2011 like others. *blush* 2011 wasn't a good year for me, too many bad things happen, that's great to say bye bye!!

Seriously, I WANT TO BLOG MORE AT 2012!!! *shout out loud*
