Bumbu Bali

Hello readers, how is your Sunday treat?
End of the July and i didn't have extra budget to hang out, opsh, just remember i just got a Standard Chartered credit card with free RM300.00 inside. *blush* How to spent this evil money? Whole Sunday morning stick at living room and watching Olympic. Feel like blogging right now, so let make this short. Still have a bunch of house works need to settle after this.

Back to the title again,
Young master made a reservation online before departure because he don't want to disappoint me. Is this Bumbu Bali that famous? Please take note that there have 2 different branches for Bumbu Bali. Young master also confused which restaurant that he had booked. *faint* According to him, we just need 30minutes walking distance to reach the restaurant...... but the reality is we walked more than 1 hours under the big sunny. *sweating*

Heading to the restaurant. *Teehee*
I'm always energetic at the starting point. This area should be very happening at night, lots of bar, restaurant and spa. Walked under big sunny without big trees is suffering, a lesson from us to love our mother nature.

Hahaha!! This Bumbu Bali isn't the restaurant that young master booked. The host consoled us that we are quite near to our destination. I love friendly local all around. *kiss* But why they wanna built up another restaurant just 500m away? Young Master found out after the trip, one of it is use as culinary school.

Here we are,
I asked young master, no people geh? Why you need to make reservation leh? Joking with him is bery funny because his face is thicker than others. Maybe he's not in a good mood and sweat like hell. Actually what I'm going to said is...... insulting him is one of my bad hobby. *evil laugh*

The Balinese decoration. According to some trip info from Internet, this restaurant is top on the list. Maybe because of the environment and cleanness?

He still sweating after we rest for few minutes. Ha ha ha, retribution that forcing me to do some health exercise. Taxi driver kept honk us for a ride while we are walking.

Snack with sambal. Yum~

I can't remember the name of beverage that i ordered, maybe is lime honey mojito. Freeze drink is a must for the hot weather. Young master had orange juice. The lime flavor is fresher compare with lime from Malaysia, maybe is different type. But certainly Bali's lime is better, fresh but not so sweet.

Dang dang dang~ yummy food. Portion is quite big, good for sharing and i start worried whether we can finish all of it or not. Then Young Master saw a stack of lemongrass and 3 super big red chillies, he think those are fresh salad in Bali cuisine. Luckily the waiter explained is just for decoration purposes. Imagine how funny was that if he EAT the decoration. *LOL*

Bebek Menyatnyat - Creamy Duck Curry. I love the mild spicy with creamy curry that mix with chewier duck meat. This is the signature dish in their restaurant, not bad at all.

Come with glutinous rice and spicy side dish. I'm saying very SPICY vege, young Master started to sweat again once he took the first bite.

Sate Lilit - Minced seafood on lemongrass. I like the way they present the food to us, grilling on a small porcelain. Still keep the warmness after half hour and still juicy enough.

The VERY SPICY vege that blown young Master's tongue. Don't be fool by the appearance, you can't see reddish color but i am damn sure will burn your tongue.

That's all for today. *muakz*

korea 2.2

Finally, the last episode for day two. *yes, jumping around*
Stomach started thundering after the crazy shopping, it's dinner time.

Korean BBQ restaurant that just 15 minutes walking distance from our hotel. We decided to dine at the most crowded restaurant since we had not ideas which one is the best. This restaurant looks new and clean, other restaurants are a bit run down. Waiters are so friendly although didn't know how to speak English / Chinese, and they gave us an English menu too. *spot my tired face*

The special sauce for BBQ. I think is Korean soya sauce mixed with chopped onions and garlic. *drool*

The hero. Super hot charcoal!!! They will burn themselves to give us a warmth night. Kam Sa Mi Da.

Side dishes, as usual.
Korean Tofu and Kimchi. Nothing to say about Kimchi, feel numb to the taste already. The Korean Tofu is a bit firm, is like Tau Kuah (Hard Tofu) that we can get in Malaysia. But of course this taste better, because we are in holiday mood. *TeeHee*

Another type of Kimchi, this one is made from marinated radish.

Salad with spicy sauce, yummy. Those vege are so fresh and can't taste the bitterness, or is because of the holiday mood again?

Kimchi again, with bean sprout & spring onion. Young Master like this one very much, asked for refill more than 5 times.
Wow! Bean sprout soup. This soup is purely magical, it is so nice to drink it after putting lots of meat into your stomach.

Hmmm.... The hotplate is ready, but suddenly the waiter poured some Kimchi onto it. What!!! Kimchi again? We didn't order Kimchi hotplate!

The waiter just smiled to us and poured some kind of thick liquid onto it. Eh! What are they trying to do? Is it normal in Korean? What are we going to do with it?

But all questions has been answered within a minute. The thick liquid turned into yellow custard look and the delicious smelly is released from the hotplate. What a surprise! It's egg with seafood stock.

Yum Yum! Can't wait until the egg is nicely cook, everyone of us are so desperate to try it.

Oh No! What have young master done!? He spilled out the heavenly egg custard! The punishment is not allowed to eat the egg anymore.

If you want to eat Hot BBQ during cold night, make sure you order a cold Korean rice wine.

Felt a bit weird that the served rice wine with metal bowl. But we don't care because the wine is nice to drink, and the alcohol level is acceptable.

Beef slices!!! Go to BBQ must order Beef slices!!! If you ask me how good is it? I can tell you is just taste like normal beef, but it was go great to eat it during cold night.

Pork slices, another can't miss dish during BBQ. The layer and texture of those pork slices are so pretty, must be juicy and tender after we cook it.

My lovely pork, onto the hotplate please.

My friends still felt hungry after all those BBQ, so they ordered bibimbap. Hmmm... another weird thing happen, where is the rice?

Apparently they served the rice separately, we need to pour in the rice and mix it together. Normally bibimbap in Malaysia is served in hotpot, here is just a big metal bowl.

Mix! Mix! Mix! then, eat! eat! eat!

My friends ordered another dish (not me), cold ramen. I didn't try it out because my stomach is fully loaded already.

We found a shop that specialist in fried chicken which is recommended by my travel buddy. She said the restaurant spoke person is her idol, so i think why don't we give support to her idol?

The shop is called KyoChun 1991. Hope someone can tell me what does it mean in Korean. The ambience is nice, woody and warmth.

Young Master posing inside the shop since we have to wait for 15 minutes to get our fried chicken done.

The price... a bit expensive for few pieces of chicken. The fried chicken in Korean always come in 6 pieces even more, so lone ranger please stay away from it ya.

Back to our hotel room, we found out the shop gave us 5 chopsticks! Does it mean those fried chicken served 5 persons?

FOC marinated radish.... Whole room was full of marinated sourly smell once young master opened the seal. He took few pieces and throw it out, don't really like the taste.

After we watch some Korean TV (which i cannot understand) and a nice face mask, is time to enjoy our fried chicken.

The fried chicken skin is very crispy, and the meat is tender too. But i think i was spoiled by Malaysia style fried chicken already, still think our country have the best Ayam Goreng.

Thankiew for my handsome boy that finish whole blog post. *hug & kiss*

korea 2.1

My friend text me that we meet up at Uniqlo at 2.30pm, so i just did some shopping around but very satisfied!!! Got myself a quick one at Forever21, Zara, H&M since the price is really cheap.

Reached there on time and we are the first team. Teehee. I feel weird with this pic because inside my memories that should be a super sunny day.

Young master bought me some drink while we are waiting. Smoothie King, just beside the place that we meet up. He ordered strawberry smoothie, the hero in the shop.

The same things with snowflakes, blinking when your beverages done.

I'm loving it~
But young master felt that the drinks in Korea is a bit overpriced. A smoothies cost us RM20, do you think is reasonable?

We break into two teams since my friend gonna visit her favorite star's shop/boutique/restaurant *forgotten* and young master plan to going back hotel early. He hope i can rest well and be energetic tomorrow morning. *kiss*

Some pics for the underground rail station.

Maybe because we went there during normal hour, there are not many people in the rail station. Seoul have higher population than Kuala Lumpur, can't imagine how does it look when reaches peak hours. Young master started mumbling beside me already, "Third from left is hot! And the white shirt girl holding phone not bad!" He's in heaven too.

Camwhore in front of the iPad signboard. Apple tried so hard to ban Samsung product in other country, why not Samsung do the same thing in Korea?

Yeah! Pretending we know how to read map. And YES!! Girls don't read map, we get a guy that can navigate for us. But this photo is not about us, is the very old "mosaic painting" behind us. From walking *not in this pic*, to horses, to car, then to train.... what else after that?

Young master forced me to stand in front of Dunkin donuts and pretending taking my photo! Actually he's taking the young army with guitar bag. Army with guitar? Macho but soft-heart? Or inside the bag is a snapper gun?

A male toilet sign. This is what should Malaysia have in every public toilet, Braille would helps blind a lot.
We've get lost inside the rail station. *walk away* A Korean guys who speak great English offer us to follow him and he will show us the way. He's work for government tourist...... blah blah blah. We were so luckily!! But we miss his at the exit, he may think that we are so stupid, and walk so slow.

We exit to a shopping mall that nearby Lotte mart, Seoul station.

Finally, here we are. A lady staring at the sun flare, or just waiting someone to walk down from the staircase?

I told myself not going to buy so much because that day is just the second night at Korea. But i still spent a lot with those snack and skin care. My friend bought a lot of skin care at Myeong-dong, i felt so kiasu if i get nothing. *blush*

My hulk to carry all the goods. Thanks. *bear hug & kiss*
We are not the shopping winner at the end of the day, my friend bring along hand luggage to carry all the thing she bought. *salute*

Okay, that's all for tonight. Sweet dreams ya~
